Thinking out loud: a simple system for notice deadlines
Whenever a notice arrives, I do three things the same day:
1. Photograph the envelope and first page.
2. Write the response deadline on a calendar with a two-day buffer.
3. Note whether the notice is from a government agency, court, bank, or collector—because the next step differs.
Curious what systems others use. Sticky notes? Spreadsheet? Phone reminders?
Share your thinking so someone newly stressed by a letter can borrow a calm process.
